Huawei UMG1831 speed upto 28.8 Mbps

I have just purchased Huawei umg1831 from ebay ..after purchased it was
not working properly .it got disconnect after every 5 or 10 minute and also become very hot in few minutes. then i upgraded its firmware 11.826.03.01.420 to 11.831.05.01.420..after upgrading firmware result is same.
so i tried some goggling then i upgraded my modem to huawei k4505 firmware now my modem is working fine . and also i got speed upto 28.8 mbps and also i able to make voice call with new dashboard...here is the screenshots of my download speeds.

so anyone can try it at own risk. i personally tested and working fine.
 
When u tried to upgrade this firmware it asking for unlock code.
 
Duck Loads acts like a Duck

C:\Users\xxx\Downloads\K4505_Files(2).rar.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

EDIT: Darkking, did the firmware update completed before you removed the modem from USB.
Never remove or do anything else on your comp when a firmware update is going on, especially people who have less RAM installed, this can easily lead to DEAD MODEM.

I also found a newer firmware for this modem, but i don' have this modem to try, if anybody wish to try, link.
Use it on your own risk, I hope it will help someone.
Also the filesize is lesser than what (mountk2) posted, don't know why ???
 

From where did u get the firmware update?Can you please help me to Update the firmware of ZTE 3570-Z ??
 
my 1831 was already working without hassle, so was scared to flash again, but ya i did and all went right, now it shows supporting speed of 28.8. Had to use unlocker and wrote the flash code at the prompt. Thanks a lot.Edit : Ya voice dialling is also working.

Same here.. mine was working fine without any issue.. but still went and flashed latest k4505 firmware...(not the one OP uploaded)
