HP Ink Advantage Multifunction

I am planning to buy an ink advantage MFP. The cartridge used is HP 678 tri black+tri colour. Is any body using these ink advantage printers. Cartridge now used is Hp 678, earlier models were coming with Hp 685 cartridges.
I want to know if these cartridges can be refilled for long. I have heard people refilling them but they are not lasting more than 2-3 refills.
One seller also told me the same.
Can anyone tell from their experience if it is really so, and how many times have you refilled?

Why buy an Ink Advantage printer if you are still going to use refilled cartridges? :

yup. i had problems twice when i tried the 3rd or 4th time i think. i usually buy new ones every now and then so havent had to go beyond 3 refils much.
i do it via cartridge world. they wont charge u if the refil is bad so u can give it a shot.

Admin, newer models from HP are ink advantage only that is why. Till now I have not considered other brands. Rest are laser printers which are expensive.
What do you suggest?

@Kickass, AFAIK yours is an older cartridge like HP 21/22 which could be easily refilled as many as 10 times.
Admin, considering HP only, ink advantage printers all have the same response in refilling as the retailer said.

Yes you are absolutely right. I use 21/22. Earlier I refilled them for 7-8 times without a single error. But now they are not lasting more than 2 refills.

If you are looking at refilling carts,better look at MFP to which CISS can be installed..There are many youtube videos telling how to install CISS for HP printers..
Same goes for canon printers..Also if your usage is more,then i would suggest laser printers&toner refilling is cheap...The drawback is the laser AIO printers are expensive..

Will CISS do the needful. I mean to say that these cartridges are not lasting for more than 2-3 refills, as per reviews, so will CISS work under these cases.

I have HP laser 1020 printer..Might get HP deskjet 1000 single function printer..
Yes CISS is very useful if your usage is high,also refilling the tanks are quite easy&self explanatory ..Could you tell how many pages you would be printing in a day?
CISS is your best bet.

I print college projects and files whenever required. So, demand is not much.For CISS part, after certain thousand pages, one needs to get Ink pad and head replaced. It is beneficial for bulk users.
