where do you think they would get the original source for such information? it's sad that in.com did not bother to credit the original source of information.

writing guides about root apps that can potentially damage your hardware is a bad idea unless you are something like XDA where regular users would not drop in just like that.

in.com is visited by regular people. they should seriously stay away from such guides. the fact remains, people who know what they are doing would not be reading guides on their website.

and people who might end up reading and following their guides are likely to make some or the other mistake.

bad bad policy by populist blogs. i mean even engadget and similar blogs would post generic information and send you to the original source of the thing. they would never try to tell you how to jailbreak your iPhone or something similar. they are a populist blog read by all types of people. they know they have a responsibility. posting a disclaimer in italics does not help anyone.
 
I would disagree, people have become used to being fed garbage by these tech sites. It is your own responsibility to research a bit on what you are doing and its possible implications. Once people get used to blindly following these guides posted at Engadget/gizmodo, they would eventually stumble upon sites like xda and rootzwiki and continue the same pattern with disastrous consequences.
 
in.com is a respected website... it should not promote illegal hacks. Period.Supercharge is not legal. Why do such big publisher do such silly things. These things wold land them in trouble.
 
Oh, so supercharge is not legal? Where is it prohibited? the Indian Constitution?you do know what legal means right?and in.com is as much respected as rakhi sawant.
 

legal in sense... if you want to use it, you have to forget your warranty.That warranty part is not told by tech2.com which is India website.
 
they haven't mentioned how to root the phone. they just said to go to the xda forums. And if you properly read xda, most of the rooting threads mention that this will void your warranty.
 
The 'Requirements' of the first link state that it requires a rooted phone.
BTW the second link is for an app available on Google play store.
