Help!Morons at local telephone exchange at BSNL, Khadki, Pune are totally unhelpful. They are telling me to upgrade before even their techie will come to my home. I do not even know if my phone line is BB capable. Person who came to my home just delivered Huawei modem and but he did not prove connectivity to me. He called his techie boss but boss was not reachable. So now I am stuck with 2000 cost of modem and no help on horizon regarding any help from BSNL in setting up the modem.-ew

Meet ur DE ( Internal ) or if need be the CO or the Area Manager. They catch the guys by the balls and make it sure that ur BB starts to work. Last resort is to meet the GM Broadband.

hello einstein, hope all is well with your e=mc2 funda?

check out www.raspppoe.com see if that will help? just call BSNL and tell them to enable your line and give you username and password then see http://appaji.net/ for a bsnl help document which shows you how to setup the modem itself to dial so that your OS can work with DHCP ("obtain IP automatically")... hope that helps...

Anyway, here's another advice : please be polite with the BSNL people and keep them calling and reminding of what you need. They are helpful and quick if you keep in touch with them, but politely.

Yes - it is very important to be polite with BSNL guys else they care 2 hoots and dont mind if u go to a competitor. They also well know how the pvt player ( ISP ) is. Being assertive but polite is important. Using the rule of ego massaging.
