This is a guide for setting up an FTP server, but the steps are the same for running a web server.

Post back if you need any help.

I prefer using free webspace.
How long you should keep your router ON??
A web server need not always run 24/7, it can also be used for other purposes. For example, if I want to share some files with you, I could temporarily setup a web server on my machine, and you could download the files directly from my machine via authenticated HTTP, rather than me uploading the files to some server, and you downloading from there.

Completely agree with Akash...
Even though uploading is free...
i.e... unlimited uploading...
But sumhow 2-5 mb does end up getting consumed!!!
Even wen no websites are being viewed, and only p2p, torrents r being used...
Wonder y??? 🤔

Ya guys i know!!!Still i find smarter to upload on filefront in case of massive huge file orrapidshare....In case of website Webhosting over free server is preffered!!!That was my point!!!!

Try ZyXEL P-600 router and you can run your server
Put static ip in TCP/IP Settings like 192.168.1.2
1.Goto NAT and map LAN server IP (port number 80) to public ip
2.Allow Wan-to-LAN setting in security.
3.Allow WAN-to-LAN in access control list.
4.Open proxy like Orkuch.com - Unblock Orkut to check if your webpage is opening from outside or not ?
