Thanks bro...me secured my connection. now can u tell me one thing that if any one knows my broadband user id & password did he/she able to use it. with any of the bsnl landline :-/ & if i wants to change my default password given by bsnl what i have to do & what does it affect in my present connection.. Kind Regards

No. Your userID/PW can be used only in your Landline number.

You should get a 14digit alphanumeric ID and password from Exchange. ( you seem to be a new BB user )
use it to access usage portal BSNL - Broadband Account Management
Better not to change any password now.
I am using BSNL default password for past two years.

First of all thanks bro for the complete information.. Really me a new user of broadband from last 3 years i am using reliance data card..so dont hv any idea abt an broadband.. Kind Regards

Hi essbeebee, Need Help. I have got the modem "ITI DNA-A211-1" at mu home in a village when I got a new connection. I was not around when the dept guys setup the connection. When I try now to access the modem thru 192.168.1.1 (in Vista/IE), I dont get the modem details up..instead get a 'page not found'. I am able to access internet as usual though.. Even thru wireless..(unsecured though). Addl info:Whether it is thru LAN 'or' wireless, it always prompts for userid/password and says connecting thru pppoe.

Confirm you don't even get the log in page.

Presume you need to add a security key.
Probably BSNL has used "multiplay" as user ID.
Password as password or admin.
Try and confirm.

Para two:
In computer
Start RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all
Check the modem/router's default gateway.
usually 192.168.1.1 ( could be different )
Para two:
If you are confident of changing and modify the
values in the modem/router for a "bridged" mode
or for entering security code afresh,
you have to reset to factory defaults.
( look at the back of the unit or sometimes
at the base ).

1. Yes I am not able to get the login page of the modem.
2. In ipcong/all shows (a) Blank in PPP wireless adapter and (b) 0.0.0.0 in ppp adapter as default gateway.
3. I am not confident as I have not used this particular modem, to reset. Once I am able to see the modem details up, I think I would be confident enough to manipulate the details.

4. I will also check the link you have provided. If you could provide any more input based on the above details, it would be a great help/ Yjamls SBB....

Since you have to enter ID and password to connect you are using a dialer.

When you are connected to internet the data you have given does not appear to be correct.

1..Connect computer in LANmode.
START RUN type cmd Type ipconfig /all ( *note space after ipconfig )
Post the result here.
2. Same for wireless. disconnect the rj45 from computer.
Example . I am on Wireless mode. "always on"
