how to connect netgear to mt882

Hi i have dataOne connection and using since last 1.5 yrs. but i am not able to access my adsl moden smartAX MT882 as i have seen now the same modems can be accessed through 192.168.1.1 so pls. help me out how do i connect my Netgear wirless access point with it bcoz. everytime i connect i have to use dialer i dont want to use dialer just connects automatically thru my access point... .............
