I have BSNL's Nokia Siemens Network's C2110 broadband modem through which I get an internet connection for my desktop. Now I purchased a Linksys WRT54G wireless router so that my brother's laptop can also connect to the internet. How do I configure the Linksys router to work with the Siemesns modem to create a home network? I followed the instructions on the CD that came with the router but it did not create any internet access.

do you use a dialer to connect to the internet or does the internet work as soon as you switch on your modem?

Follow the step below
1. Access WRT54G settings by typing 198.168.1.1 in internet explorer.

2. In the Setup pages Internet connection Type select PPPOE

3. Put your User ID and Password

4.In the Network setup put the IP address 192.168.2.1 and subnet musk 255.255.255.0

5.Enable the DHCP server

5. Put starting IP address 192.168.2.100

6. Select Time zone

Click Save Setings

Now if your LAN Card have manually IP address then you have to change to 192.168.2.100 subnet 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.2.1 or better to set Obtain IP address automatically.
after this restart your Computer to take effect.

Setup your ADSL CPE C2110 to bridge mode with VPI/VCI 0/35
Then connect your C2110 LAN port with cable RJ45 and another end point of this cable to Lnksys WRT54G Inernet port or WAN port. Now connect your Linksys WRT54G LAN port to your Computer LAN port with RJ45 Cable.
