How is Reliance DTH currently?

I currently have a cable STB service and am considering a DTH. At present, the only 2 operators I will consider are Airtel and Reliance.While a cable STB is a low cost solution when you need a large number of channels, the reverse is true when your channel needs are few. We are not heavy TV watchers. Basically my requirement is for English entertainment, English News a couple of infotainment channels and movie channels.I believe Reliance lets me come up with probably the cheapest combination. Months ago, this section of the forum was active with criticism of Big TV. These days I don't see much activity here.Would current Reliance DTH customers kindly let me know what is their user experience of late?

🙁 No one reverted till now. Although I am not using RDTV, but AFAIK, RDTV had more English entertainment channels than ADTV. If no one using RDTV reverts , would confirm you more details

@IndianMascot - thanks. you really have put in the effort to compile those lists. Hope some RDTV users respond about user experience.Basically I will need English serials perhaps AXN, Star World, Zee Cafe and the 3 CBS channels, English news perhaps, BBC, Headlines Today and Times Now, 2 or 3 English Movie channels though we never actually watch movies, GOD channel, FOOD FOOD (if Airtel or perhaps iCooking on RDTV is OK), a couple of channels like Nat Geo, Discovery or Animal Planet and a sports channel or two which broadcast football.

I've got RDTV .. if you can live with the slowest menu .. and STB hanging .. go for it .. Food Food is not available on RDTV .. apart from it all other channels you require are there ..

Don't waste your money on RDTV. I got fed up with them and moved back to Tata. Buy D2H/Airtel.

Months ago, this section of the forum was active with criticism of Big TV. These days I don't see much activity here.

That is bcoz very few people use RDTV here and those who did have migrated a long while back.:Boy Zip:
In short it is one of the most stagnant DTH ops in India...:sleeping:

OK so it looks like it must be Airtel after all.General negative vibes against RDTV are compelling.
