High ping to Europe

Tata Sky is not opening many sites from EU and Russia now. Switching to Jio 4G data makes those sites work.

Eg, neowin.net is not working right now.

It seems so. I have BSNL FTTH and Alliance Broadband, both are giving me 250-260 ms to German servers, usually I get 139-150 ms. It has been happening since last 3-4 weeks constantly with me, I saw that my connection is being routed through Chennai->Singapore->Germany instead of Mumbai->London->Germany as before. Can you guys please ping "heredur.drakensang.com" and tell me how much ping you are getting ?

Few companies received communication from ISPs that between India & Europe multiple undersea cable systems are unavailable. so there would be unexpected outages. It could not be resolved immediately. Fixing cables may take few weeks.
 
@Enix Probably unrelated, even Exictel is having crazy drops and high latency since the start of December. Here's the tracert for heredur.drakensang.com from Excitel

I am getting 165ms to Frankfurt Valorant server too but EU servers on Speedtest along with the server which I mentioned above, and another game server fetches me 250-300 ms
 
Getting normal ping on League again, hoping it isn't a fluke.

Edit: It has spiked back up at a stable ping to 194 rather than 145
