High ping to Europe

Since past few weeks, Airtel has been giving me about 250 ping to EU servers on various games. Before it used to be around 130. I recently checked the routing and it's bad (Mumbai -> Middle of Maharashtra -> Sweden -> Germany), Making some games unplayable.

I request if you are facing a similar issue with Airtel to please call them about this. Email their support the routing. If alot of people call maybe they will fix it

I have noticed the same thing. EU servers used to be 120-125 ms for me and now it is 260ms ! The technical team is of no help as they just do speedtest. Some higher up in the backend team will be able to understand the issue but good luck trying to explain this to customer care.

I can confirm this too. CC doesn't understand this. They are like oh your speeds are fine so everything is just working perfectly 😛

Just do a speedtest to few europe servers

can confirm. did a speedtest on melbicom, frankurt server and got 265ms. It used to be 140ms something.

used to get around 180 on eu in league and now its 260-280 yikes airtel

Same issue here from 25th November. I used to get 130-150ms ping to EU WorldOfTanks servers now it's 260-300ms. Complained to 121 and net@airtel and they said they cannot do anything about it.

Only workaround I found is If I use VPN with Luxembourg server selected, I get the desired pings.

Here are the screenshots with VPN (Luxembourg server).

Hope it gets fixed soon cuz VPN connection isn't as smooth as without VPN.
