High Ping issue since 2 weeks.

okies what downstream are u synced at that u r getting 252 kbps on speedtest.net
 
ok , down is 2048 up is 512 . and i get 1800kbps on mumbai server , but international servers like to L.A i get 1700kbps latency 297 MS , before it used to be 265 or 270 MS max with dynamic ip. and also the speed i get on los angeles is not 24/7 it gets low to like 256 or hardl 500-700 but sometimes it goes 1700kbps , and on mumbai server its constant 24/7 1800 kbps
 
thats what i saying when u r on 1700kbps u get 297ms ping.....earlier may be u were on 1800+kbps thts y getting 265-270 ping.......as bandwidth go down on ping increases....
 

nope i think its not about bandwidth i was still getting 1700kbps with dynamic ip too but latency was way too low then what i get now with static ip . and i don't think bandwidth has anything to do with latency .
 
It may be that MTNL might have changed international routing, or it may be that your line is damaged. I really can't tell what exactly is wrong with the connection (further proven by constant speeds from Mumbai server). What is the ping you are getting by Mumbai server? If its the same as before, its not your connection, its something up with routing. If not, get in touch with MTNL and ask them to check the line.

@Ion , i get 35ms ping on mumbai server speedtest . ill see what i can do , i tried to ping other servers like youtube - 257ms and yahoo 152 ms ,i get normal ping times , so i guess its my game server or something .@essbebe , i think its game server as even you get almost same ping time as me , but seems like your routing is better , it takes only 14 hops to reach to server , while mine takes like 19 hops.
 
it could be due to the rains.i have been facing frequent disconnections since the past few days. 2-3 days it was very high, then it stopped. worked well for 4 days, again since 2 days sometimes i get disconnections. im not sure if my problem is due to rains, but i havent faced anything like this ever before for the past 3 years, so i assume its the rains.too busy to deal with the headache of MTNL babus.
