I'm a reliance wired internet user and I've been facing high ping issues on Singapore cs servers for around 1-1.5 months. Singapore servers used to give me around 60-100 ping which was pretty nice. (75-80 most of the time) Few weeks ago when the problem began , I got 200-250 ping with packet loss from 1-50% throughout the match . Now I get around 150-180 ping in Singapore servers which isn't a decent ping for competitive. Now I have almost no packet loss . At night sometimes around 1-2 Am if I get lucky I get Arab servers where I get 45-57 ping which is awesome!
I wrote to reliance and they sent a guy to my place to check the connection. As soon as he came in I knew there's nothing much he can do. I explained him the problem. Showed him the tracert results to the servers my friend was currently playing in. Told him how it is now and how it used to be . He ping tested google and some other ips said its running just fine. I told him I just wanted to get the port changed , to which he said you can't change port in dynamic connection. If youtube and google are working then I can't do anything about it. Later he called a guy who was standing below my building , a guy who works with wires and stuff. I asked him what he was gonna do about it? The guy at my home said he's gonna try changing port.. (😵 the same guy who just said port can't be changed with dynamic ip address , obviously none of us knew what the hell we were talking about)
After the other did "something"to the wires , nothing changed. (yay)
While having our regular "having no clue but still talking" conversation , he said that I'd suggest you to opt for static ip address. I asked him about it , he said reliance provides static ip connections, which are more expensive but are much more stable. It doesn't get disconnected on power cut. (mine does) And he claims I will get better ping with it. When asked he said these connections are not mentioned in official site. I'll have to re-submit papers and a "port" will be sent from mumbai (wut) , pay installation fee etcetera . Its just like having a new connection ,I can't just "change" my current connection to static. (still wanted to remind you that none of us had any idea what we were dealing with here)
Later I politely ask him to gtfo and then I cried n cried till the sun set. End of story. Below are some results you might want to have a look at.

I don't have much Isps in my area. And changing my isp isnt' my first preference either. Throw some light on this topic , and what do I talk to the customer care now?
