India take on Argentina today in their fifth match of the 2012 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament, with a chance to go clear on the second spot in the points table.
India and Argentina are both on six points from four matches - with Argentina slightly ahead of India on goal difference. So whosoever wins will strengthen its chances of qualifying for the championship match.

60th min: Penalty corner to India. Ind 1 - 3 Arg

Full Time: Argentina beat India 3-2

With olympics in couple of months, it is not gud for India. Hope they raise their game soon!

But why is it affecting Indians more is actually the question.

Consider this, Nadal and Djokovic were quite unpleasant playing on blue clay(Madrid Masters), whereas Federer had no such problem. In the same way, some teams are intolerable with blue turf, whereas others aren't.

Yes. otherwise it will be very difficult to finish even top 6 in olympics

The way they played in olympics qualifier made me seem like 'they were a top team'. But now, i think 'they should speed up things and upsurge their game'.

the Opponent teams in olympics qualifier were ranked below india.

the real test was always 10-11 teams ranked above India and they are faltering at that

31st is India VS pakistan

Yeah, India performed well there. Yep, comparatively they were ranked below, but when you look at last Olympic Qualifiers, India played well against them. Last time, they were unable to qualify for olympics - First Time in the History that happened.

Yeah Today's match gonna turn me crazy. The craze for Indo-Pak cricket match has gone down (in me), lets see how the hockey match will be. Hope Indians make it into Finals. BTW, why are Pakis playing so badly?

Just checked the official site - Seems India won 2-1?

So the format has a Semi among the Top 4 & then a Final?

Guess Pakistan is the only team out of the race. Malaysia is a threat & GB/Korea also have chance.

By looking at this photo, I feel, even the blue dress of India can be acting as a bit of hindrance

Just got to know its a direct final, and India's chances are very less.

Pak should beat GB
Malaysia should beat Argentina by 2 goals

Unlikely, I had say

India beat GB 3-1. Unbelievable

India fought it's way very well to clinch Bronze. Really a Splendid performance

Now atleast there's a hope for a Podium finish in Olympics

For the first time in the history of the tournament, Pakistan finished at the bottom of the table in the seventh position.
