please help me out in buying a laptop ....my budget is around 40-50k...though i can stretch it to 52k......the configurations i would prefer are-1. 17 inch glossy screen...(15 will also do but certainly not less than that)2. core duo or core duo 23. comfortable keyboard4. 1gb ram (though 512x512 ddr2 ram will do)5. good grafic card (preferably for the newer games)Also i would prefer if its a DELL or a ACER I will be basically playing and chattin on the laptop ...so it ned not be a work specific lappy...also if any good comps then also do suggest though my budget for a computer is 40k

Well i did shortlist...two laptops....(think ill go for a lappy only since even my mom is quite keen for it ).......1.Acer 3000 portable series Centrino with 915 Chipset- The TravelMate 3000 adopts the new generation of Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology- Sonoma Platform (915 chipset)2.Acer aspire 5101 AMD TURION 64 mobile technology...........is Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology better than AMD????...in terms of playing games....an basically all entertainment stuff............the 3000 portable also flaunts a Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2300 (2 MB L2 cache, 1.66GHz, 667 MHz FSB)though 5101 doesnt have core dou but still its got a 2.0 GHz........can 1.66 in 3000 portable be upgraded to 2.0????????also my friend told me that amd is much better than a core dou for entertainment and core dou is basicaly for office based work or professionals....also 3000 has a 12.1 inch screen now...me using a 15" monitor since 5 yers and cannot recall seeing a 12.1"screen ever !.....will it be too small for me ...who is quite happy with 15"???????please help!

that's why i suggest going for a desktop. get a cheaper card right now and upgrade to one that supports dx 10 when they become affordable. with laptops you would be stuck with the configuration u buy coz upgrading them is not economical or possible in most cases.
