Ah that way, but it was never unblocked even if we were using DNS-over-HTTPS or DNS-over-TLS right. They appeared to have been using the SNI info to block sites.

Anyway yeah, many such sites over HTTPS aren't blocked anymore.

nope they don't seem to be doing that anymore like before you can just get into any blocked site by just using https

Correct, I was just stating that they were doing SNI based blocking earlier and DNS over TLS nor DNS over HTTPS didn't help either.

I've been following this thread for same issue. My complaint went up to the L3 team but no dice. And now the HTTPS blocks despite using DNS over HTTPS. Perhaps another thread can be opened to figure out how they're doing it?

Routing on spectra has improved a bit but only to the IP's that we were able to provide but for the rest of the internet its still very bad (there might be one or two subnets in my locality where routing to asian countries is absolutely great )
