Is Spectra sending packets for a world tour? I'm not sure if I'm reading it right..

Is Spectra sending packets for a world tour?
yeah it is but the thing is few route through hong kong too!

I've been on the 180.151.124.x subnet though the IP's are changing but on the same subnet and i hope the DHCP server always keeps me on this since 42ms ping for singapore is fantastic

For a service I want to use, I've seen it routes through HK. But this is just disappointing. This and their slow CC response times means I'll probably not continue from next month. Considering Airtel VDSL (Ugh, I know but it works flawlessly for the service I want) and pray for FTTH.

at least for now i'll stick to spectra and VPN or even take a secondary connection for latency sensitive applications until other ISP's start gigabit no FUP plans

@404 Which area in Bangalore?

Ok, I am back to the 180.151.117.x IP subnet and my pings are back to 150-170 ms to Singapore 🤯 😥

they just close my ticket after saying they cant do anything after a day of creating it every time though they do follow up asking questions and traceroute data and everything but final answer is always the same

@404 Hehe yeah! The BSNL FTTH connection is at Ernakulam, Kerala not in Bangalore. At Ernakulam its great, excellent speeds, routing is also decent. Since BSNL main network appears to be Bangalore for this region, service in Bangalore might be good too. Plus the Banaswadi telephone exchange is pretty near by too, so might get decent service, but then not sure what happens when there is some problem.

@The_PC_Guy @404 So I was working with Spectra and they appears to have fixed the reverse route for the 117 subnet. Right now I am on 118 (it gives 60 ms to DO Singapore), so can't verify. Anyone of you on 117 subnet?

Or are you guys on any other subnet which is showing issues? Still not perfect though, 124 comes back via Chennai, but this comes via Mumbai. Still better than earlier.
