Help on ping plzz.

Hye frnds am on Dataone 900 UL plan adn i would like to know how to ping it and whats actually a ping is etc.. Am connecting my internet via usb port. Plzz some one help teach me how to pinh plzz and my OS is xp pro. Tks in advance.

goto command prompt and type ping/? to see command options .

and also type --> ping broadbandforum.co OR ping google.com
