Help Needed for Establishing Connection

Hi Friends.....Recently I got a Laptop for myself. I have a TYPE-2 modem WI-FI enabled.When I have my laptop connected to the modem through Wi-Fi... at the same time can I connect my Desktop PC through LAN? Can the modem establish Internet connection to my LAPTOP n my Desktop PC at the same time....Please help me out....as I feel this is possible....

^ it is possible if you have a standard wifi modem cum router . if you
have a UtStar WA3002 modem then I do not have its details - sad .
you can just try with your modem by using modem in router mode ...
