Help... 3K bill due to bug in BSNL billing system..

This is strange problem..

I have been using HOME 250 PLAN for the past 4 months .

I gave the scheme change (500 C)request letter on 30th OCT..

I BSNL person said plan will change from 1st Nov.

In a bit of anticipation i download 4 GB during 1st Nov 0200 to 0800, which should be included in 500C plan.

u would be charged under 250 plan.

Lucky it was changed at least at 1200Noon 1st Nov is holiday ( Saturday and 2nd November is Sunday). Rarely the plan is changed so fast.You should have waited . By the way confirm your IP 59.xx.xx.xx when all new users
get 117.xx.xx.xx.

Hope the Accts officer will waive this next month, as it is only for a day.
Technical problem may be in resetting meter exactly at 0001 AM 1st Nov

Use NU carefully switching off modem at 0155 and then start only after 0205AM ( your computer clock and BSNL clock may not synchronize every day. )
Also switch off modem at about 0755AM.
No surfing like this 0100AM to 0830 AM etc. No excuses at least for this month , if you want waiver for 1st November 2008. 4 GB usage.
 
Just tell them that they are in error since your plan change was supposed to occur on Nov 1. I had a 6K bill on the month of my plan change, but they took care of the bill once I explained my case...
 
I think this time you'll be excused provided you explain them your matter.And people refrain yourself from downloading anything if you've unsure whether you're plan has changed or not! 🙂
