Headphones: Sony or JBL - which one's to buy?

My Sennheiser HD 202 headphones's left side speaker is kaput.It seems to be a case of loose contact with the wire.This headphone has given me great service till now and i feel like i should get a new one.

So looking around various brands i came up with a list.These seem decent and are also economical.

JBL - C300SI
JBL - T250SI
Sony MDR-XB450
Sony MDR-ZX110A

I've heard that the Sony XB450 has bass that overpowers the mid and high ranges.I prefer headphones that have good tonal/overall balance of the sound.Sound should be clear and crisp.Example,if i'm listening to rock/metal music then i wanna hear the low and high bass sounds along with other instruments.

Which out of the above would you guys suggest?

Yeah,i read through that thread but those models are not the one's that i'm looking to buy.

I have the XB450 and yes its bass is given preference. You can avoid this.

@kkapoorr: thanks for the input.Looks like the whole XB series has preference for bass.Might check out the JBL headphones.I've never used JBL products/headphones before.What's the quality like? Anyone here using/used JBL headphones ?

Yup, XB = Xtra Bass. Stay away from these if you're not a basshead.
