Hathway connection info needed

Hi, One of my friends in Nasik is trying to set up a Belking 4 port wireless router with her Hathway connection to connect up her two computers at home and I am trying to help her out from Bangalore. Can someone give me details about the Hathway connection. I am @$$uming that it does not require a login because it's an always on cable connection also that the modem is ethernet based. Is the connection tied to a specific MAC address? Is it DHCP based or is it static IP? What other settings do I need to plug into the router so that it can successfully connect up?Regards,Srini T

She probably could but she isn't tech savvy, but I just may make the call myself. Anyway, I could debug it a little bit for her and it looks like they use a static ip address. She's supposed to call me anytime now and I'll let you know what happens. In the meantime, if anyone has definitive info, I would appreciate it if you could reply.
