So after July 4th, logged in today. And as expected there were no new scraps/messages or whatever. When about to sign out noticed - Pages you might like on Google+ -> Airtel PresenceThanks Google for making me laugh today.

Hope they scrap it totally! May be make modifications in G+ for community functionality of Orkut!

Orkut is shutting down on September 30, 2014

We will shut down Orkut on September 30, 2014. Until then, there will be no impact on current Orkut users, to give the community time to manage the transition. People can export their profile data, community posts and photos using Google Takeout (available until September 2016). Starting today, it will not be possible to create a new Orkut account. We are preserving an archive of all public communities, which will be available online starting September 30, 2014. If you don't want your posts or name to be included in the community archive, you can remove Orkut permanently from your Google account. Please visit our Help Center for further details.

I Have many friends in Orkut communities, feel extremely bad if Orkut shuts down, it will be a great loss for me.

I have not heard single person talk about orkut from almost 2 years or so. (except here in this forum)
Google never had much interest in it.
As per wikipedia. Orkut's 14% traffic was still from India.(On May 1, 2014)
Now thats huge considering nobody in India seemed to be that interested after Facebook and Whatsapp took over social interactions.

Just deleted my Orkut account completely. Did not want to end have having old posts archived permanently on some communities I might have participated long time ago.

So logged in to check, the last "scrap" I received was in December 2011.

I was active in orkut India Community, that community is still active and evryone is sad there.
