So that debunks any rumors of xphone coming this year.

"Vice President Patrick Pichette today said that products in Motorola's pipeline are "not really to the standards that what Google would say is wow — innovative, transformative."
So how can it be above it's standards

So, admin.. Now it makes sense to get the nexus 4.. 😀😀

nope. xphone might not be a motorola product after all. which is a good thing really.
xphone might be just like pixel. manufactured by an unnamed partner and come with pure google branding this time around!
and of course it could very well be priced at ONE GAZILLION DOLLARS!

What can be so great about it that moto cannot launch it this year? After all it will be running android . Assembling a good design shouldn't take them more than a year.

From what I understand, a phone can take 2-3 years of development work. Things are much faster these days yes. Google acquired Motorola last year. I think they should be able to launch something purely developed under their control by the end of the year. 🙂
