hi i wan to use spectranet for my desktop and xbox 360..is it possible??i have bsnl Nokia Siemens network residential router 1600...can it be used for it?if not then do i need a cable modem as well as a cable router?? or cable modem/router:shut-mouth:suggest me good cable routers, modemsthx
1. Yes you will need a router.2. No, a BSNL router won't work.3. You can pick up any old router for Rs1000-2000. I wouldn't advise buying D-Link or TP-Link. Netgear, Linksys (Cisco) or Asus seem to be the favourites. I personally favour the Netgear WGR614 for basic setups.4. When you get a router, you will probably have to ask your provider to reset the MAC address binding.
