how can i get the ip address of the person i m talkin to on yahoo messenger?
[/b]
Its Just so simple. Ask the person yourself
(i would recomend asking the mobile number instead of ip address because ip add change dyanmically 😛 )
You can send a file to user from Yahoo Messenger itself. netstat is windos tool that comes with Windows XP. To run it you will have to type netstat -a at command line.
Normally Yahoo messenger talks to yahoo servers. It connects directly to another user's PC only for peer to peer transfers (e.g. Video chat or File transfer).
See further-info & network properties for the Yahoo-Messenger process/thread, using Process Explorer, to get IP of the person to whom you're chatting with.
Netstat -a is of use only if u initiate a file transfer or video chat. Coz for instant messages yahoo uses relay servers to protect privacy (the msg goes to yahoo server which forwards it to the other person) So if u try doing a netstat while IM'ing you'll only get the ip of the yahoo server. 😛
Netstat wont help much...Cuz if ur not fast enuff ull jus end seeing the IP of YAHOO servers itself...Ul have to watch for it fast cuz it shows only once....Yahoo has kind off fixed this...
