I am on BSNL BB Plan ULD 850 from March, 2014. I get 1 Mbps/124 KBps for the first 6 GB and a consistent 512 kbps/ 64 KBps after that. My modem is a Netis DL4311 and address is in Guwahati.
Since last 2 weeks my broadband's condition is extremely bad. I am not even getting a stable 15 KBps. Speeds keep fluctuating around 5-15KBps. To open Facebook, I have to wait for 1-2 minutes. Twitter, Youtube, PlayStore etc.. are impossible to open. Even this site took around 2 minutes to load.
I have tried doing the following :-
Changed DNS to OpenDNS and GoogleDNS - with no result
Connected successfully using Bridge Mode - but no increase in speed
Connected the main line directly to modem(without the splitter) - with no results
I have contacted BSNL and a man came to my house and said that everything looks OK and that nothing is wrong. And then he went away.
I am going to call BSNL again. So please look at my settings above and tell me what I should tell him particularly when he visits again?
