The last good movie of Akshay Kumar was Special 26. Holiday was tolerable.

He seems to be coming in a lot of remakes - Gabbar & Holiday are both remakes.

I think they made Gabbar more louder & maybe added lot of useless stuff as I remember watching the Tamil version in 2003-04 on TV after hearing lot of positive reviews (It released in 2002) & it was quite watchable - considering it starred Vijaykanth in the title role & only his "fans" normally enjoy his movies.
