Off late I am experiencing frequent disconnections..the dsl link light doesn't stay on for a long time. Checked the dsl parameters,turns out the snr margin is very poor about 10 db local.and 6 db remote. .Launched a complaint 2 days ago..got a call today from mtnl , he said he has cleared the line..if disconnection persists change the modem since its 4 years old.Well now the snr parameters have slightly improved to 15 db..but its fluctuating.Is it time to change the modem or the problem persists with the line itself ?
