Frequent disconnection and download speed is too slow

hey friends....

im using BSNL broadband for about 6months but im facing this problem from last month only.

the problem is that internet is disconnecting frequently(like for every 20minutes). web pages are loading very slowly and download speed is also very slow. i couldnot figure out the problem. the phone line is working fine. whether this will be my modem's fault or any ethernet card fault???

please help me out.

im using UT300R2U(white colour) modem provided by bsnl.

After six months clean up computer of junk entries. 1.Download and use Advanced Windows Care Personal from iobit.com2.Also ccleaner from filehippo.com3. Modem : Post device status page showing SNR/ATTN/Mod/ line speed etc.4. Confirm any MTU setting/ option available in your modem please.5. Check connections for oxidization/corrosion/rusting/high resistance contacts etc.Using new RJ11 cable and RJ45 cable may also improve performance. .

one more thing, while modem is online it works normally as it worked before this problem occurs...
and what do you mean by MTU settings???

have you tried connecting a new telephone??ensure that all telephones are connected after the splitter..

my telephone is not connected after the splitter. it is connected at another wall jack which means modem and telephone are in series connection. its been kept like this for six months but im getting the disconnection problem from last month only... b4 replying this message i checked by connecting telephone behind splitter but even after that the problem is not solved
