Firmware Upgrade

On saturday I got a call from airtel tht someone will visit my house to upgrade my modem i.e 220bx ....After few hrs a guy from airtel came and got the modem firmware upgraded and installed some troubleshoting software and was offering to install some mcafee av but I refused for av.... He told me they upgraded their server etc etc so they r upgrading the modem too....This model is causing few probs as it is not updating the logs on server correctly... anyways I removed tht troubleshooting software... looked like a crap... so did airtel users here got any upgrade too ?

I can't figure out wht difference tht upgrade made.... Speed is same as it was before (26-29 in day and 52-56 at night)... Now the http://192.168.1.1 page is taking ages to load

Can u post the Firmware Version being shown on http://192.168.1.1 ....I upgraded the firmware on my 220BX a couple of months back and was wondering if it's the same. Here's mine:

Hi hitman,

well, you have uninstalled the troubleshooting s/w, thats the very good decision you took.. because that s/w sucks... it halts your connection if even a very small change in configuration happens.. :blink: but there is a bundeled s/w in that CD which you can use to monitor your connection.. i don't remember the name.. if you could type in the name of that s/w, i will tell you which s/w i'm talking about.

The Came to my uncle's house also to upgrade the firmware but my uncle has attached a WLAN router so they got confused!!!!! I Am Amazed!!!!
