In my opinion blocking pings to stop worms is like using a cannon to kill a fly.

Sify should keep upto date with security patches instead and they seem to be using Linux servers already which is a good thing.
 
they cannot actually control what users do with their PCs. i actually had to go around installing patches on the people's computers on my lan for ms blaster when it got spreaded on my old network in faridabad. the result is pretty similar to microsoft. if you cannot solve it, kill the problem.
 
They will block pings . Very true inetbum they kill fly with canon . Btw i see no point ddosing people here . Sify @$$holes dont even allow port 80 open 🙁 .

Hey 80 is open now . It was blocked a month b4r . I used to put up hfs file sharing on wan ip and used to access it from www.proxify.com to know blocked ports . and um sure it was blocked a month b4r .
