Finally got MTNL connection today but the speed suddenly decreased after 2GB mark?

So I got the connection and plan was Freedom 645 UL with 2mbps upto 4GB and 512kbps afterwards, but my speed suddenly decreased to 512kbps and when I checked the usage it was only 2gb and I also assumed that's how much data I downloaded. The plan promises a 2mbps speed upto 4GB so I'm really confused what's going on?? please help
 
It's because you don't get to utilize your full data limit if you get your connection in the middle of the month. You will get full 4GB limit from next month onwards.
