Expected more speed from Reliance 3G

Hi all,I have Huawei K4505 HSPA+ 28.8Mbps usb modem.I am using Reliance 3G.I am getting -89dBm/-91dBm signal of HSPA+ network from my Huawei K4505.I am staying in 2nd floor.DOWNLOAD 2.57Mb/secUPLOAD 1.15Mb/secAverage download speed 300-430 KB/sec.I really expected more from Reliance 3G.🙁I think it is for poor network coverage.I have Desktop.I cannot move it.Should I buy external antenna for Huawei K4505 ? Will I get better speed ?

Try asking one of your friends to get a laptop and then check the 3g signal at different places in your house and see if you get better speeds.

I did it.I got -89dBm - -91dBm signal.

Then using an extension cable wouldn't be of much help unless you choose to hang your dongle outside the window 😛

Its not always the ISPs fault, could be the limitation from the file servers?

Signal strength -89 to -91 not looking that good. It should be ideally -77 to-81.
How many bar signal strength? if full signal may be the tower has limitation?
In a 28 mbps modem,one should get average 5 to 7 mbps from Reliance 3g.

regarding your problem...hmm..get an external antenna and i guess your dongle has external antenna support.

I am getting around 600-700KBps(though it also depends on the server from where you are downloading) full signal strength in reliance 3G.

Dude It is 'HSPA+' + MIMO.

Should I get external antenna or USB extension cable ?

When you arent getting good signals even when the dongle is placed near the window, what difference will an ext cable make.
