well i just found this gr8 proggy from the internet named HFS (http file system). it allows the user to create a vitual server to host all his files on the LAN & the internet. ask samruddha (a member here) he lives in dombivli but cud connect to my server via a browser & cud also dl files nut at http speed.just think it a person in ur society has lotsa games, moviues & other stufff he can create a virtual server so that others can dl his stuff at lan speed.i have created a server [Link]http://10.40.37.140/[/Link] and my frnds living in sarvoday nagar can access my server & dl at lan speedz.( i live on link road) 😛just think if every 1 in mulund can use this system to share files.there is even no need to configure it. it uses ur ip address as its http address.exatt users can add any ip of their choice in their tcp/ip connection properties.just remember if u want the server to be lan based dont log in 2 ur net. 7 vice versa

Or you could just use apache - simpler. Or to make it even more easy, just use the IIS that already comes integrated in windows.

i furgot to tell u guyz....my LAN website starts only after 9 PM in the NIGHt.so try accesssing after that.
