Excitel Broadband User Experience in Gurgaon

there is a guy on youtube who told that peaple in america use for DSL for streeming/gameing and cable internet brouzing/dowloading

Anyone using google dns wih excitel?
What is the pinng time on 8.8.8.8?
i'm getting ping time around 80-100 ms.

I think either Google or someone else associated has messed up 8.8.8.8's routing a few weeks ago. Even on my airtel connection I get the same ping times to it. Try and use 8.8.4.4, if you are already not and see if it is any better for you.

Pinging 8.8.8.8 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=83ms TTL=48
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=85ms TTL=48
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=83ms TTL=48
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=84ms TTL=48

Pinging 8.8.4.4 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 8.8.4.4: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=58
Reply from 8.8.4.4: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=58
Reply from 8.8.4.4: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=58
Reply from 8.8.4.4: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=58

Ummm... what "guy" are you talking about. Everyone uses all kinds of internet for everything these days. The only thing I can say for sure is people on Dial-up don't do much except for browsing.

getting around 75-80 ms ping from 8.8.8.8 and between 2 and 6 from 8.8.4.4 but i don't use google's global DNS as im very much happy with excitel's DNS so theirs no reason for to me to try global dns.

i usually get an ip in the 103 series. today i got this 139.5.254.108. not sure if they changed something. internet has been behaving weirdly since yesterday evening.

restarted router and got this: 138.128.180.250. would update if experience remains crappy in the coming days.

Dead at my end. Even the light is off in router. Called the local guy. No support tonight. Tonight is going to be annoying at 4mbps 😭

I can confirm the same, the first hop in tracert is now something completely different than their port 80 accessible switch (Microtik and Huawei)
All non-peered traffic is throttled to meagre 10mbps

What i noticed is that the local WAN IP's 4th octet is now the same as the 4th octet of the public WAN IP
So 10.xxx.xxx.abc is somewhat equal to 202.xxx.xxx.abc
