exchanging Type I modem with Type II modem

I am using BSNL broadband connection and BSNL Type 1 Modem( Not Wi-Fi). I need a Wi-fi modem (Type 2). Can i exchange with the previous one. Its also working condition. How much will the new one cost if I exchange. I purchased the Type I modem 2 years before (Not rental).:imwink:
