Erratic Download Shown in DUmeter Please Help

Hi,I am new here, I have BSNL broadband connection. I have also DUmeter installed in my computer. FOr the past two days, I notice that there has been an erratic download shown in the DUMeter that is used for bandwidth monitoring. I don't know why. I am concerned that whether this could be because of some hacking or spyware being installed in my computer accidentally, can someone please explain this and help me out of this bad situation.

scan ur pc online. website---> sypware.info . Just download a small app called Xclean and scan.

in adapters section select dial up connections to monitor then try checking the usage i think that will solve the problem

What is the Dumeter you are using ?Do you use QUF for comparison ?

As mentioned above go to Options in DUMeter - Netwrk Interface n select only ur Broadband conn.If dat doesnt help, chk wit a gud antivirus (pref. Kaspersky or NOD32) n Antispyware. Also install ZoneAlarm/commodo Firewall. Dey wil giv u a warning whn any application/virus tries connecting to d net
