Encrypted Chat Messenger For Lan

I need a messaging client for a local network which sends message in encrypted form... i mean the message should not be traceable by others on the same network... 😀

You tried Akeni Lan Messenger?I am not sure of encryption though, please check that.

This setup should do the job.

But it will take some efforts to set up (for example, but reading up and downloaing more things like Java).

1. Download Open-IM (this is a IM server that works on Jabber protocol and supports encryption)
2. Dwonload and install a jabber client ( http://psi-im.org/ is one of clients).

borgchat is good but not encrypted but u can have password protected channels . Is someone really going to sniff you ?

it is to be used by one of the two parties selling the same product in a single call center setup. 😉 maybe i am just insane to think that the other party would be interested in reading what we are discussing... 😉

it's a uk based process so of course they have access to restricted net 🙂
