hi,i am using a 1KW room heater. What will be the APPROXIMATE electricity bill for using it for 1hr? I think it will be no. of units(kWhrs) consumed * price per unit..Whats the unit rate (? Rs/unit) in Delhi?
 
I unit will be consumed for using a 1 KW heater for i hr.Check the cost of 1 unit. Its variable according to slab u fall inAssume it around Rs 4.....i dont remember exact cost of unit but i think highest is around Rs 4So Rs 4 /hr
 
sweet.. so i will incur just ~Rs.5 for using heater for 1 hr!! i thought it would be much more...
 
but heater is something u wont be running on for like a long time as we usually do with fans or coolers or even ACsthey suck the oxygen from ur room i think.
 

and per unit cost is just one of the factors. For me (reliance energy) per unit cost was ~600, total bill 1100 (with tons of surcharges/taxes).So you should probably double that.
