DTH Portability in India

Dear Members , I heard that DTH portability Bill has passed, so that we can switch from any DTH service to other without purchasing new set top boxes for new service....But when I contacted other Operators they simply denied that nothing has been passed yet and we have to purchase new set top box as new connection charges for service... Is it true or false? Can we use our Old STB to get New DTH service....I have Reliance Big TV & want to switch to either Airtel or Videocon .Is it possible, Regards, Sangeet
 
i dont think DTH Portablity will be implemented in another 2 years...so dnt think about it and waste your time.!!ThanksAmmu
 
heh. dth portability was supposed to be launched years ago. too bad TRAI did not enforce it in time.

Thanx Ammu,for the reply....but now is there any way so that we can save our money?? Can we run other DTH service on same STB??
