Downloads getting Corrupted.

Hi all.Sorry if this has been discussed before.I searched couldn't find much.On MTNL 95% of my downloads from http are getting corrupted.If I use Sify to download the exact file, it is alrite.So whats causing this ? I don't have router in bridged mode (I like rebooting without loosing connection to MTNL good for golden hours,also like the NAT+firewall)..I suspect though it is the Firewall in the router ? or any other cause?Thanks!btw..what is Stole's chicken joke i missed it

hey man!if i'm not wrong u've been using MTNL for quite some time now so r u facing this prob suddenly or it's been like this always?

It may be a case of faulty RAM Module of ur comp.some data gets stored in RAM before it is written to the hard disk.My old comp had same problem.Hope this is useful

Hey CB nice to see u again..yes MTNL long time Recently started to happen..sanke1: it shouldn't be my comp..afterall same file i download with Sify its ok..? dunno..my windows been misbehaving lately no virus or nething just driver conflicts.heh.lets see will disable firewall at nite n try again Its no fun to download anything at 16kBps when u can get it at 54kBps!!

one of the onboard lan does it switched mtnl to other one n fine now lov the 54kBps!! and the golden hourty all

asus onboard lan don’t have problem with it ( if u have nvida ultra 4 chipset ). but u need to disable advance security options which comes with nvidia chipset. Don’t install security software which comes with Ethernet drivers. This software has major bugs and its not been solve yet. :angry:
