Download speed is slow

My Download speed is to slow...when i am downloading a file the speed is around 25 to 35 kbps only...i am using flexi 350 plan..what will be the downloading speed??

Well the max speed limit for your plan is 256 kbps unlike in some other plans where the max speed limit is set to 2 Mbps. The max speed limit is just the logical figure that your speed can go up to, whereas the "actual" or "practical" speed is much less than that. In your case, the max speed limit is 256 kbps so your actual speed will of course be less than that, but not what you have reported.

ISP counts the speed in kilo bits per second (kbps)
While Browsers counts in Kilo Bytes per second (KBps)

The speed limit for Flexi 350 Plan is 256 kbps (kilo bits per second).
So converting kilo bits into kilo bytes 256/8 = 32 KBps (kilo bytes per second)

You are getting 25 to 35 KBps and that is perfectly all right.

Ya, Sahyadri, you are correct. Thats the reason why the practical speed is always low than their mentioned speed.

k thanx 4 replying me....is there any software to check the account usage..i have seen one software for checking the download limit ..can any one post the links to dwn load the soft...i dont need the data one web site..🙂what will be the id for data one web mail??🙂
