Doubts regarding Hard disk connected to Nokia router

Hey guys
Its been 10 days since I connected my 1.5TB hard disk to Nokia router and its working great
Im able to access ftp server in local network
I just wanted to know that is it not safe for my hard disk ? Like will it get rekt if I keep it connected ?
Im kinda worried about it. please someone tell me about it

It depends on the usage. All hardware have a life. If your router is mounting the hdd on demand then you may not have any issue. Some cheap hdd will fail due to constant read/write. Try to get read/write statistics for your hdd. You will get an idea.

You can get a NAS hdd if you want to use it attached to a router

Disk's life depends on a lot of things, continuous power supply isn't one of them. Mostly how often you're writing, reading.

What do you mean by mounting the hdd on a demand

like 3-4 hrs a day
