Even fucking donald trump gives interviews for somewhat neutral entities but our dear 56inch leader is such a pussy he can't even do what donald trump has the balls to do
 
the problem is that trump feeds on media. he likes the attention. and he knows that he can get away with any bullshit he says. modi on the other hand learnt his lessons from the karan thapar interview. there was a story few weeks ago about how prashant kishor prepared him for 2014. kishor denied the report iirc. but it did say that he made him watch that interview so many times that he realized that he just cannot get away with his holier-than-thou image that they had created for him in an open press conference or a non-scripted interview. so we can essentially blame thapar for giving us the first prime minister who would not hold a press conference.
