Hi,
Can someone with Airtel Xstream static ip confirm if they block mail ports?
Also, how is email rep. for the static IPs they give out in places like check.spamhaus.org.
And are there any other blocked ports?

Thanks in advance!

Airtel does not block main ports even on dynamic IP. But you cannot host your own mail server using static IP as well.

Airtel does not block ports on IPs. In fact it's one of the most 'open' ISPs. But the IP, which is alloted by the NOC, its reputation is up in the air depending on who used it previously. If you're setting up your own mail server and you face IP blocking ask them for another one.

@Chip He won't be able to setup mail server as all residential IPs are behind a policy Block by airtel.

It does. All residential IPs dynamic or static are treated the same way.

@mikrotik alright, that's probably to prevent commercial activities like hosting of services.

Update: I got the static ip & checked on the blocklists with mxtoolbox.
Only BARRACUDA, RATS (because no PTR/rDNS) and UCEPROTECT L3 were listed
There was also spamhaus but delisting was extremely quick..
