According to the government’s most recent survey of the quality of drugs in India, 10% of all drugs from ‘government sources’ tested NSQ, or not of standard quality. A NSQ drug will compromise patient health. These numbers are shocking. An earlier report of the Comptroller and Auditor General had revealed that the Armed Forces Medical Stores Depot, which serves armed forces personnel, had reported the percentage of locally procured drugs that were substandard at as high as 32% in one year!

yup. that's the thing. they could have recommended that doctors prescribe a generic in addition to regular medicine and let the patient decide. but i guess that would make the whole process of prescribing quite complicated. the whole idea seems ridiculous.

The whole basis of a society is trust. While there will always be a few people who'll try to cheat you, majority won't. They will never want any harm to befall on you. The govt. now presupposes that everyone is a cheat, looks at everyone with suspicion. Making Aadhar mandatory and this, both are the end result of that.

If the govt. has no faith in its citizens, why rule?
