dlink lan card issue

i bought a new D-Link lan card .....i use beetel 220 bx modem and my pc is detecting it in device manager and drivers are successfully installed bt i cudnt connect to
internet as pc/usb light remains off and the light at the back of the lan card is also off.wt could be the problem?pls help🙁

Try another lan cable maybe.
