DISHTV wins the Rechargers Award in the Pitch India’s Top 50 Marketers Awards 2010. The award essentially recognizes the successful transformation of the brand positioning from a functional promise of 'Wish karo dish karo' to an emotional platform of 'Ghar aayi zindagi' in an impactful manner.

At an evening that saw a flurry of brands and marketing gurus, Pitch, the leading marketing monthly of the exchange4media Group honoured top marketers of India at Pitch India’s Top 50 Marketers Awards 2010. The awards were given across ten categories namely – Resurgent Brands, Ageless Brands, Buzzy Brands, Rechargers, Value for Money, Globetrotters, Social Marketers, Bottom of Pyramid, Marketing Innovations and Impactful Launches.

The event that also marked the seventh anniversary of Pitch was embraced by AICC General Secretary, Digvijay Singh. The brands that emerged as leaders were General Motors and Ford under the Resurgent Marketers category, Airtel and Thums Up in Ageless Brands, IPL and Chetan Bhagat in Buzzy Brands, MTV and Dish TV in Rechargers, Big Bazaar and Tata DoCoMo in Value For Money, Airtel and Mahindra & Mahindra in Globetrotters, Idea and Aircel in Social Marketers, Tata Magic and Tata Swach in Bottom of Pyramid, 3 Idiots and Big Bazaar in Marketing Innovations and Micromax and Uninor in Impactful Launches
