DILEMA in a III-Tier City!

Hi friends!
I live in Ahmednagar!I would like to have an broadband in my city!

Questionnaire-

Which City do you live in?
Ahmednagar,Maharashtra.

What will be your net usage?
I will basically install it as a home wifi!
It will be used for basic surfing,downloading,etc.
Mainly connected to 5-7 smartphones,iPad and laptops!

What type of connection are you preferring?
As for convenience it better to move from 3G
packs!
A common broadband with wifi is better!
So an ADSL or Cable internet is ok!

What ISPs are available in your city?
BSNL,Reliance and a local service provider!

Real Dilema!
BSNL UL850 plan

Or
This local provider



Can anyone suggest me which O should go for?
Anyone belonging to this city can give advice!

I don't think we would be appropriate to suggest anything...
Because every operator works differently in every city...Some might be good in your area....which can be described a horror in my city..
I can suggest you to stay away from Airtel in general though..heard a lot of complaints...as of local guy in your area...you gotta inspect on your own..on paper plans seem to be legit...

cost would be less as compared to BSNL....
Plans are cheaper in Reliance....reliability not so good...but still ask your people for better judgement..

Was comparing BSNL 800 and this local 8xx
Plans

Bsnl UL800-1mbps till 6 GB,512 Kbps beyond it


Local - 1 Mbps till 40 GB,256 Kbps beyond it!

Hi Kunal,

I'm from Ahmednagar too! I'm surpirsed to see folks from our small city here.. Can you please specify the area? I've been living here 14 years and I didn't find any other ISP except BSNL (adsl/cable/wired) in our city.

I live near Market Yard Area (Sarasnagar). I'm using BSNL ULD 850 Combo from 3 years and didn't faced any major problems. Sometimes very high latency (almost negligible time). I think goin with BSNL might be good decision. No idea bout Reliance and Local Provider.. Shocked by there existence lol 😀

Edit: Can you reply me the details of Reliance and Local Provider ? I'm feeling excited 😛 Cheers on new ISPs 😀

Vicky I leave on MG Road behind Kohinoor.

I contacted reliance and they say that cable internet is available.
Their plans are too cheap and they can arrange it for you in any locality!

Better call their toll free no.
